Employable Me is an award-winning documentary series that shares the stories and experiences of job seekers with disabilities.
Now in its fourth season, the series profiles Canadians who “are determined to show that having a physical disability or neurological condition should not make them unemployable.”
Magnet’s ALiGN tool was recently featured on episode six of the show, which follows the journey of two job seekers in the Greater Toronto Area. Ben, who is visually impaired, completes an ALiGN personality assessment as part of his search for a first job in marketing.
“The ALiGN assessment was developed by Lumina Learning in the UK, and the aim is for a job seeker to better understand their personality, and how their personality and qualities makes them a fit for specific occupations,” says Magnet Project Coordinator Elizabeth Mohler, who meets with Ben during the episode to go over the results of his assessment.
Mohler, who also has vision loss, talks with Ben about his career goals and discusses how they match with his Lumina “portrait,” which highlights his strengths and qualities as a job seeker.
