The Grow Your Business Online Grant offers a $2,400 micro-grant to eligible small businesses, fostering digitalization and e-commerce capabilities to ensure sustainable growth.
The Grow Your Business Online Grant is one of two grants available through the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP), which is funded by Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED). The grant provides eligible small businesses with a micro-grant of $2,400 to boost their e-commerce capacity or digitalize business operations.
The project is expected to achieve the following results:
Magnet’s Outcome Adjudicator tool provides the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC), in its capacity as a program delivery partner, with the tools to manage applications from businesses, and to provide relevant reporting data to ISED.
The Outcome Adjudicator supports the deployment of customized applications and processes for organizations distributing wage subsidies or other types of funding. Program administrators can use this tool to assess applications, manage communications with applicants, and generate required reporting.
Magnet and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce have a longstanding partnership in leveraging Magnet’s technology to support OCC initiatives that benefit small businesses. Many small and medium-sized enterprises utilize the Magnet platform, giving Magnet the capacity to promote programs such as the Grow Your Business Online Grant to relevant audiences.
In addition, Magnet’s digital infrastructure, including the Outcome Adjudicator, gives projects that require the distribution of funding and grants the capacity to efficiently assess applications while also managing the distribution of funds and data reporting to funders.
Magnet’s involvement with the Grow Your Business Online grant demonstrates the adaptability and flexibility of our digital infrastructure. The Outcome Adjudicator has been deployed to support the management of several funding programs, from national initiatives such as the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) to industry-led initiatives including EMC WILWorks.
For the OCC, which has managed various wage subsidy and grant programs, the Outcome Adjudicator greatly increases efficiency and accountability by allowing multiple programs to be managed through one solution. Finally, by integrating these various programs under a single digital infrastructure, Magnet makes it easier for businesses to identify and access funding support.
