Helping job seekers across Ontario unlock opportunities in the province’s food and beverage sector with access to training modules, virtual networking, mentorship, job opportunities, and more!
Led by Food and Beverage Ontario (FBO), CareersNOW! connects job seekers to employers looking to fill positions in the food and beverage processing industry.
CareersNOW! gives job seekers access to training modules, networking opportunities, and connections to work placements.
Employers in Ontario’s food and beverage processing sector are using Magnet’s job matching technology to promote career opportunities. Magnet enables employers to target job seekers who identify as newcomers, youth, Indigenous, and persons with disabilities, allowing for diverse recruitment.
Targeted communication tools within the Magnet platform are used to build awareness of virtual career fairs, networking opportunities, and learning sessions hosted by FBO.
Magnet also provides FBO’s employer network with in-kind support through the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP), which offers eligible businesses wage subsidy funding when they hire Canadian students for work-integrated learning placements.
CareersNOW! demonstrates Magnet’s potential to connect key stakeholders with the goal of boosting recruitment efforts.
With its extensive network of partners and projects serving job seekers across Canada, Magnet’s technology allows FBO to post opportunities and invitations to hiring fairs that could be viewed by candidates across our network, widening the project’s visibility and exposing job seekers to entry and mid-level opportunities in the sector.
Magnet’s job matching tools, combined with the integration of Outcome Campus Connect, also allows employers in the sector to target youth. Magnet also serves as a learning hub where job seekers could build awareness of careers in the sector and apply for opportunities.
Magnet’s employment service provider partners can explore opportunities posted by FBO-affiliated employers and share them directly with job seeker clients, helping those individuals transition to new opportunities.
